I found moving head lice on my 7 year old. Treated her with medicated shampoo.?

After shampooing I used the small toothed comb. I got about 20-30 moving head lice out of her hair. Shouldn't the medicated shampoo killed off the head lice? I brushed her hair for over an hour, but I am afraid there are still some on her head. What should I do now?I found moving head lice on my 7 year old. Treated her with medicated shampoo.?
Make sure that you're using the product correctly. You may not have left it on for long enough, or you may need multiple treatments. Lice products are much like flea sprays for animals- they usually work over an extended time period.

Also make sure that you're eliminating the lice around the house to prevent re infestation.

People used to put gasoline on people's hair (bad idea), but I know that an effective treatment for lice (in addition to the lice shampoo), is to pour tea tree oil on the scalp and comb through with a lice pick. You can find it at a vitamin store or in the vitamin aisle. It smells, but it dries out nits and kills lice pretty effectively.

You must also treat bedding and stuffed animals. You can purchase spray for the bedding, but the best treatment for the stuffed animals in to place them in giant garbage bags for a couple of weeks. Another thing you can do for the hair is to dye it. The chemicals with kill the eggs and bugs. I did this with my daughter when she was younger and it seemed to work better than even the shampoo from the doctors. You can easily find a dye that matches your child's natural hair color.
if you have time, put conditioner in her hair, and comb it through thoroughly. The conditioner disables the lice, and allows you to remove them. Also treat with medicated lotion or shampoo from pharmacy, to get rid of nits, which will otherwise hatch and continue the cycle.
after you shampoo ..use the lice comb and get all the nits off ( nits are sticky egg sacs attached to strands of hair containing zillions of offspring) If you dont get them all they hatch....Also they live in fabric..in your car on stuffed animal rugs hats halloween masks..couched ..treat everything. A hot dryer will kill the nits ..toss what you can in the dryer
usually the medicated rinse makes so the eggs dont hatch, eventually the nits will die off but you have to be persistent with the combing, shampoo and sterilizing bed sheets etc.
dear

try the old dadima method of telling stories during bedtime putting her on ur lap n handpicking them. its slow but manages the prob completely .

iam sure it'll work
shave all her hair, this is the only way to really get rid of them. but you'll find out.
