You must wash all bedding daily in hot water. You also must nit pick a few times a day. Be sure to treat all your carpets and furniture including your car with spray you may purchase in any drug store or grocery store. Do not wear clothes a second time without washing. After vacuuming dispose or clean out the vacuum bag right away. As long as you are diligent you should have it under control in about a week. Be sure to keep checking for nits even weeks after you feel they are gone.I have tried everything for head lice nothing seems to work, medicated shampoos.. vinegar, ??
having head lice really stinks, i had it for the first time last summer.medications worked ok for me, but not well enough. what really helped is the mayonaise! i know it sounds really gross - and im not gonna lie, it is really gross - but i was cured from lice the next day! some people put rosemary oil in their hair, but i've hears the smell is really bad and to strong.if you decide to do the mayonaise, here are some tips: some people say you should have it on for 8 hours while you sleep, but i dont see how any one could sleep with that, especially without your shower cap falling off. (you have to put a shower cap over it.) although it was really nasty in the morning, i reccomend that. also,wear a towel around your neck! i never knew there was that much oil in mayonaise! one last tip, you shouldnt shave your head, just cut off a couple of the damadged inches at the bottom and it really helps! nit picking helps, but it takes a lot of patience. dont lean on anything and wash everything you touch. you should check for lice at least once evry week the couple of weeks after you feel better, you might have the eggs still in your hair, and they can hatch soon. having someone else other then whoever has been checking you check you once, really helps.good luck!
