Ok to use expired medicated shampoo(for cats) if they have nothing medically wrong?

My cat got into something outside and smells terrible. I found some old medicated cat shampoo under the sink. It already expired and I dont have any way to get to the pet store. Is it ok to use it? Would it be better to use lo'real kids? Please only answer if you have experience with bathing cats. Thank YouOk to use expired medicated shampoo(for cats) if they have nothing medically wrong?
I'd toss the medicated shampoo. That's pretty old - some medications become ineffective past their expiration date, but others can become deadly. You don't want to take a chance of poisoning your cat. Same thing with the kid's shampoo - it's got conditioners, etc. that could make him ill from ingesting it. Just use dish soap - that's the safest. And good luck - bathing a cat is quite an adventure!Ok to use expired medicated shampoo(for cats) if they have nothing medically wrong?
I would use the medicated shampoo. Just make sure not to get it in the eyes or mouth or ears. If it has expired within the last year then it is still probably ok. Never use human shampoo or soap. It is really bad for their skin.
